Background
Roanoke County Public Schools is seeking proposals for a solar energy system to be installed at the new Roanoke County Career and Technology Center (RCCTC).
The goal of this contract is to provide a solar energy solution that significantly offsets the electrical needs of the facility, aiming for at least a 75% reduction in electrical consumption based on model data from Cave Spring High School.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor and materials necessary to install a turnkey solar energy system. Proposals must include:
- Total price for the system including full turnkey installation and startup.
- Size of the system with output in kW and number of solar panels.
- Annual Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) earned and projected income.
- Monthly energy production projections.
- Federal tax credits eligibility details and critical dates.
- Projected monthly maintenance costs and maintenance details.
- Estimated construction time for system completion.
- Estimated savings over the life of the system.
- Specifications for panel and inverter types, including make/model.
- Provision for remote monitoring and diagnosis.
- Warranty details for equipment and workmanship.
- Guarantee of certified documentation meeting federal tax rebate requirements.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period begins upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeline specified by the contractor in their proposal.

Place of Performance
The installation will take place at the Roanoke County Career and Technology Center located at 6251 Peters Creek Rd., Roanoke, VA 24019.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must comply with Virginia State Corporation Commission registration requirements, possess necessary licenses, provide proof of insurance coverage, and certify that no individuals providing services have been convicted of felonies involving child abuse or molestation.
