PWC Fire& Rescue Station #27

Background
The Prince William County Office of Procurement Services is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the construction of the PWC Fire and Rescue Station 27. This facility aims to enhance emergency response capabilities in the area, housing a pumper and an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance with 24-hour staffing.

The project is designed to achieve LEED Gold Certification, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.

Work Details
The contractor will construct a fully functional Fire and Rescue station located at 15825 Spriggs Road, Woodbridge, VA 22193. The facility will include sleeping quarters, a kitchen and dayroom, a physical fitness room, a training room, offices, three apparatus bays, and an area for personal protective equipment.

The contractor is responsible for all labor, equipment, materials, management, surveys, testing, and services necessary to meet the project requirements as outlined in the bid documents. The project also includes delivering a roof-mounted photovoltaic system as part of the LEED certification process.

Period of Performance
The contract period is set for 548 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed for Substantial Completion and an additional 60 calendar days for Final Completion including punch list work.

The construction will take place at 15825 Spriggs Road, Woodbridge, VA 22193.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in the Supplier Portal to submit their bids electronically. A bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid amount is required for bids over $500,000.

Bidders must also provide a Contractor's Qualification Statement demonstrating experience with similar projects. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws is mandatory.
