Professional Engineering Services

Background
The Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport Commission is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional engineering consulting services to support various airport infrastructure and development projects.
The goal of this RFP is to select a competent engineering consulting firm with proven expertise in airport planning, design, construction, and operation to help the Shenandoah Valley Airport meet its operational goals and future expansion needs.

Work Details
The selected consultant will provide the following professional engineering consulting services:
- Project Management
- Design and Drafting
- Technical Studies and Reports
- Project Bidding and Negotiations
- Construction Support
- Cost Estimation and Budgeting
- Regulatory and Permitting Assistance.

Planned projects include needs assessments for airline terminals, rehabilitation of existing pavements, taxiway extensions, environmental assessments, and acquisition of snow removal equipment.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period will be one year with the possibility of four additional one-year renewals upon mutual consent.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Shenandoah Valley Airport located in Weyers Cave, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Firms must have experience providing engineering consulting services for airports or related infrastructure projects.
They must be licensed to practice engineering in Virginia and hold all necessary certifications. Additionally, firms must demonstrate experience working with regulatory bodies such as the FAA.
