Pittsylvania County- Renovation of Office Building

Background
The Pittsylvania County Purchasing Department is seeking bids from qualified vendors licensed in Virginia to renovate an existing office building located at 2 & 4 S. Main Street, Chatham, VA.
The renovation aims to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of the 4,718 sq ft space, aligning with the county's mission to provide efficient public services.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Demolition of existing interior walls and finishes as indicated on the plans.
- Installation of new interior partitions and finishes.
- Replacement of existing windows and doors with new energy-efficient models.
- Upgrading mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to meet current code requirements.
- Installation of new flooring materials including carpet tiles and luxury vinyl tiles in designated areas.
- Provision for sound attenuation measures in wall assemblies.
- Compliance with ADA accessibility guidelines throughout the renovation.
- Installation of new exit signs and emergency lighting as per applicable codes.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and is anticipated to be completed within a specified timeframe leading up to the due date for bids on April 22, 2025.

The renovation will take place at 2 & 4 S. Main Street, Chatham, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed contractors in Virginia and are required to register in the Commonwealth of Virginia’s eVA procurement marketplace for electronic submission of bids.
The County will waive all permit fees and landfill fees associated with the project.
