Pest Control Services

Background
The Southeastern Virginia Training Center (SEVTC), part of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is seeking to establish a contract for pest and termite control services. The aim is to ensure effective, sanitary, and ecologically sound pest management across its facilities, which include various buildings and properties located at SEVTC.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive pest and termite control services including:

1. Supervision, labor, tools, materials, devices, and equipment necessary for pest control.

2. Regularly scheduled weekly pest control operations for all eighteen buildings.

3. Treatment for rodents and insects including roaches, centipedes, silverfish, common ants (excluding carpenter, fire, and pharaoh), crickets, earwigs, ground beetles, millipedes, pill bugs, sow bugs, spiders, mice, rats, and spring tails.

4. Installation of rodent bait boxes and glue traps as necessary.

5. Termite infestation control including identification and elimination of termites with a chemical barrier treatment.

6. Annual termite inspections with reporting on building conditions.

7. 24/7 on-call response for emergency pest infestations not covered in the basic contract.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on September 1, 2025, and will run through August 31, 2026. There are options for four one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the Southeastern Virginia Training Center located at 2100 Steppingstone Square, Chesapeake, VA 23320.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed as a pest control operator in Virginia and comply with all relevant regulations from the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Agriculture. They must also provide proof of certification prior to contract award. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan if applicable.
