Background
The County School Board of York County, Virginia is seeking proposals for professional Architect/Engineering (A&E) services for the renovation of Tabb High School, originally built in 1972.

The renovation aims to modernize the facility, improve energy efficiency, and enhance the learning environment. The project includes creating a new main entrance, learning commons, and large meeting room, as well as updating gym and locker room facilities. The school currently accommodates 1,288 students.

Work Details
The selected Architect/Engineering firm will provide comprehensive services including:
- Preparation of final plans and specifications;
- Compliance with applicable codes and regulations;
- Construction cost estimation;
- Submission of construction documents for governmental review;
- Approval of shop drawings;
- Surveying services;
- Environmental review;
- Project management;
- Construction inspection;
- Wetlands mitigation design;
- Landscape architectural services;
- Geotechnical services;
- Value engineering;
- Project scheduling;
- Coordination with local utilities and agencies;
- Bidding and construction administration services;
- Hazardous material identification and abatement specifications;
- Preparation of 'as built' drawings and Operations & Maintenance Manuals.

The project will be executed in five phases: Schematic Design Phase, Design Development Phase, Construction Documents Phase, Bidding Document Phase, and Construction Phase.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon Board approval and execution of the contract, continuing through the final completion date of the project. Specific timelines for each phase will be established in the contract addendum.

The work will be performed at Tabb High School located at 4431 Big Bethel Road, Yorktown, VA 23693.
