P291-24-Dn City Wide Janitorial Services

Background
The City of Portsmouth is requesting proposals for City-Wide Janitorial Services. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals from qualified sources to establish a contract through competitive negotiation to provide City-Wide Janitorial Services.

Work Details
The services shall include cleaning of all offices, conference rooms, common areas, restrooms, and restroom lobby areas at specified locations. The Contractor must provide proper staffing levels to ensure that the services are completed in the requisite period.
The initial term of the Contract shall be a one-year base period, with four optional years. The Contractor shall be responsible for complete quality control of all services provided under this contract.

Period of Performance
The initial period of the contract is from the date of award through one year, renewable for optional four one-year periods. Written notice of the City’s intention to renew shall be given approximately 90 days prior to the expiration date of the contract period.

Place of Performance
The locations that will be serviced include various city facilities such as Behavior Health Services, Children’s Museum of Virginia, Judicial Center, Portsmouth Police Headquarters, and others.
