Mount Rogers Community Services - Roofing System Twin County ESS

Background
Mount Rogers Community Services (MRCS) is soliciting bids for the installation of a new roofing system at the Twin County ESS Building located at 494 Industrial Park Drive, Hillsville, VA. The purpose of this contract is to replace the existing roof with a new system that includes a 20-year warranty, ensuring durability and compliance with safety standards.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Installation of approximately 35,900 sq. ft. of roofing area.
2. Furnishing and installing expanded polystyrene insulation board between raised flutes of the metal panel roof system.
3. Mechanically attaching a 1" ISO insulation cover board over EPS flute filler to provide a smooth rigid roof surface.
4. Mechanically attaching a single-ply TPO roofing membrane per manufacturer's recommendations.
5. Providing a manufacturer's 20-year no dollar limit warranty on labor and materials.
6. Installing wood blocking as required at eaves and rakes.
7. Terminating at rake perimeter with 24ga prepainted metal gravel stop with continuous 22ga galvanized cleat.
8. Terminating at gutter edge with 24ga prepainted metal drip edge.
9. Installing membrane up and over parapet walls and fabricating new 24ga prepainted metal coping with continuous 22ga galvanized cleat.
10. Flashing all walls, pipes, curbs, and other penetrations per manufacturer's specifications.
11. Cleaning up and removing project-related debris.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and must achieve Substantial Completion by April 25th, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Twin County ESS Building located at 494 Industrial Park Drive, Hillsville, VA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with Virginia Contractor License requirements and provide proof of Workers Compensation Insurance and General Liability Insurance as part of their bid submission.
