MCPS Old Christiansburg Middle School Interior Waterlines Replacement

Background
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to establish a contract for the replacement of interior waterlines at the Old Christiansburg Middle School. The project aims to ensure that the school's plumbing infrastructure meets current standards and functions effectively. The contract will be managed by MCPS, with oversight from ZMM, Inc. Architects and Engineers.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Replacement of domestic water piping as per specifications outlined in Division 22 of the project documents, including:
- 221116 - Domestic Water Piping
- 221119 - Domestic Water Piping Specialties
- 221123 - Domestic Water Pumps
- 224213 - Commercial Water Closets
- 224213.16 - Commercial Urinals.

2. All necessary permits must be obtained by the contractor at no additional cost to MCPS. Final payment will not be released until a fully executed building permit and documentation of final inspection are provided to MCPS.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with completion deadlines set as follows:
- Lower Building (Building 1) must be completed by August 7, 2025.
- Upper Building (Building 3) must be completed within 365 days of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at Old Christiansburg Middle School, located in Christiansburg, Virginia.
