Managed Public Cloud Services - Amazon Web Services

Background
The Virginia IT Agency (VITA), representing the Commonwealth of Virginia, is seeking a Managed Public Cloud Services (MCS) supplier to provide fully managed, secure, and compliant public cloud services on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.
The goal is to enhance the operational and architectural management of AWS environments while ensuring compliance with VITA's policies and standards.

Work Details
The MCS supplier will be responsible for:
1. Operational management of VITA’s AWS accounts, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and support of AWS resources such as compute, storage, networking, and security.
2. Deployment of a Cloud Management Platform (CMP) for resource management and optimization.
3. Integration into VITA's Multi-Supplier Integrated (MSI) Platform as a Tier 1 Supplier.
4. Proposing a cloud service management framework with a staffed organization overseeing the use of cloud services.
5. Providing customer self-service capabilities, resource consumption views, cost forecasting, and optimization recommendations while enforcing VITA policies.

Period of Performance
The specific period of performance will be defined in the final RFP package; however, it is expected that the contract will cover multiple years to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed within the Commonwealth of Virginia's AWS environment.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must demonstrate experience in providing solutions for various agencies with differing needs and budgets.
If an Offeror is a current Service Tower Supplier, they must submit an independent account management team as part of their proposal.
Additionally, all suppliers must comply with VITA Rules regarding security standards and operational protocols.
