Managed Network Services

Background
Jaunt, Inc. is a public service corporation in Virginia that provides regional demand response and fixed route transit services in central Virginia, including Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville.

With an annual operating budget of $12 million, Jaunt has been recognized for its efficient service and driver training since its establishment in 1975. The organization aims to ensure the seamless functioning of its digital infrastructure through Managed Network Services, which includes managing its network and servers located at its headquarters in Charlottesville, VA.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide Managed Network Services that include:
- Management of Jaunt’s Local Area Network at its primary location in Charlottesville.
- Management of physical onsite servers (15 servers running on 6 host servers).
- Regular updates/patches and maintenance scheduled with Jaunt's IT Systems Administrator.
- Network monitoring and intrusion detection.
- VPN health and connectivity monitoring and support.
- Internet health and connectivity monitoring and support.
- Documentation of all activities for record keeping and knowledge transfer.
- Critical network and server monitoring during Jaunt’s operational hours (M-F 5am-11pm; Sat/Sun: 5am-9pm).
- Active alerting to the onsite IT Systems Administrator regarding any issues, along with access to monitoring tools used by the service provider.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a period of two (2) years with three (3) one-year renewal options.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Jaunt’s headquarters located at 104 Keystone Place, Charlottesville, VA.
