Background
Lunenburg County Public Schools, located in Kenbridge, VA, is seeking proposals for custodial services for its four school buildings and one central office. The goal of this contract is to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities to support the educational environment.

Work Details
The contractor will provide custodial services across four schools: Central High School (104,000 sq ft), Lunenburg Middle School (82,000 sq ft), Victoria Elementary School (48,000 sq ft), Kenbridge Elementary School (59,000 sq ft), and the Central Office (7,000 sq ft).

Services include daily operations divided into four shifts: Lead Day Porter (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), Mid-Day Porter (10:30 AM - 7:00 PM), Evening Custodial Team (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM), and Late Night Deep Clean Team. Responsibilities include facility opening, restroom sanitation, cafeteria support during meals, high-touch point sanitation, emergency cleanups, periodic deep cleaning tasks such as dusting and floor care, consumables management, and special event coverage.

Staffing requirements are specified for each location with a total of 10 positions across the schools and office. Summer floor care strip and finish will also be required during the summer break.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to run through the school year with specific milestones for service implementation detailed in the solicitation.

- Central Office (1009 Main St., Kenbridge, VA).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be authorized to transact business in Virginia. They are required to maintain a drug-free workplace and comply with nondiscrimination laws.

Insurance requirements include:
- Workers' Compensation Insurance
- General Liability Insurance ($1 million minimum)
- Automobile Liability Insurance ($1 million minimum)
- Umbrella/Excess Liability Insurance ($2 million minimum).

Bidders must also certify that no employees providing services have felony convictions or offenses involving child abuse.
