The Longwood University Center for Visual Arts Roof Replacement project is initiated by the Commonwealth of Virginia, specifically Longwood University, located in Farmville, Virginia. The mission of this project is to ensure a complete and watertight roofing system over the specified areas of the Center for Visual Arts. This initiative aims to enhance the structural integrity and functionality of the building while providing a safe environment for its users.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Demolition and removal of existing roof systems to expose the structural deck.
2. Installation of a new elastic membrane roofing system that is fully functional and watertight, including:
- Polysio rigid insulation and sloped insulation
- Membrane
- Flashings (including metal flashings)
- Gutters and downspouts
- Related components for EPDM rubber roof areas.
3. Temporary removal and replacement of existing HVAC units.
4. Extension and replacement of condensate and refrigerant lines.
5. Addition of a lightning protection system.
6. Removal of abandoned equipment and skylights.
7. Provision of appropriate roof deck infill.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence from the date of award through the owner's approved completion of the project.
