Local Textbook Adoption for Middle School Mathematics

Background
The School Board of Stafford County, operating as Stafford County Public Schools, is seeking proposals for the adoption of Middle School Mathematics and Electives textbooks. This initiative is part of their mission to provide quality education to a rapidly growing community in Virginia, which currently has a school membership of approximately 31,220 students across various educational facilities.

The contract aims to establish a long-term partnership with qualified vendors to supply educational materials that align with the Virginia Standards of Learning.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide Middle School Mathematics textbooks and supporting materials, including:
1. Print and digital formats of textbooks that support the Virginia Standards of Learning.
2. Workbooks or lab books corresponding to the textbooks.
3. Teacher Editions for all items.
4. Online resources such as manuals, workbooks, and teacher materials.
5. Customer support and professional learning services for teachers and staff using the contracted materials.
6. Online accounts for designated Stafford Schools employees, students, and community members to access offered materials for review purposes.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for seven (7) years from the date of award, with an option to renew for one (1) additional year, making the maximum contract length not exceed eight (8) years.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at various locations within Stafford County Public Schools in Stafford, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must comply with specific qualifications including:
1) Registration with the Virginia State Corporation Commission;
2) Submission of proprietary information designation;
3) Compliance with insurance requirements including Workers’ Compensation and General Liability;
4) Certification that no Stafford Schools official or employee has received any financial benefit from the contract;
5) Commitment to providing opportunities for certified small, women-owned, minority-owned businesses in subcontracting.
