L13_2024 Shared Use Path Extension

Background
The L13_2024 Shared Use Path Extension project is issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Transportation (VDOT).
The project aims to extend a shared use path from Mile Marker 8.13 at Dulles Greenway to Mile Marker 8.47 at Moran Road in Loudoun County, Northern Virginia.

Work Details
The contract includes various construction activities and materials as detailed in the bid proposal.

- Clearing and grubbing (Lump Sum)
- Installation of endwalls, storm sewer pipes, drop inlets, manholes, and various types of drainage systems
- Regular excavation and sediment control measures
- Asphalt concrete placement and pavement markings
- Construction of curbs, gutters, and sidewalks
- Installation of guardrails and fencing
- Traffic control measures including temporary signs and channelizing devices
- DBE participation requirements for subcontractors and suppliers.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by January 12, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed along Route 606 in Loudoun County, Virginia.
