JBM-1235 On Demand Equipment Materials and Supply Services

Background
James Madison University (JMU) is a comprehensive public institution located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, with an enrollment of approximately 22,000 students and about 4,000 faculty and staff. The university has over 600 departments supporting seven academic divisions and offers more than 120 majors, minors, and concentrations.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals from qualified sources to enter into a contract for on-demand equipment, materials, and supplies for Facilities Management at JMU. The initial contract term is one year with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods.

Work Details
The contractor will provide on-demand equipment, materials, and supplies necessary for managing and maintaining campus facilities. This includes but is not limited to: equipment rentals, plumbing supplies, general hardware, paint and painting supplies, flooring materials and adhesives, automotive and mechanical parts for building systems maintenance and the university's fleet.

Vendors must be able to accommodate same-day or over-the-counter purchases of frequently used items essential to campus operations.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence from the date of award and will last for one year with the possibility of four one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at James Madison University located in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Only certified firms with registered business licenses that can demonstrate the capacity to provide the volume of goods required will be considered. Participation from small businesses and businesses owned by women or minorities is encouraged through partnerships or subcontracts.
