Background
The City of Hampton, Virginia, is seeking bids from qualified bidders to provide towing and storage services for privately owned and city-owned vehicles and equipment on an on-call as needed basis.

Hampton is an independent city located on the southern end of the Virginia Peninsula, with a strong military and technology presence, contributing significantly to the regional economy. The city has a diverse population and a rich history, making it a vibrant community.

Work Details
The awarded contractor will provide towing and storage services for various types of vehicles including passenger cars, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, RVs, boats, and trailers.

Services must be available year-round, seven days a week. The contractor will be responsible for the expedited removal of vehicles upon request by the Contract Administrator or designee. Towing services include removing disabled vehicles from public roads and private property as permitted.

Storage facilities must be located within Hampton or no more than five miles outside city limits. The contractor must furnish all necessary labor, materials, equipment, transportation, tools, and supplies to perform these services. The contractor is liable for any damage that occurs to vehicles while in storage. All drivers must have passed a Virginia State Police background check and meet state requirements for towing operations.

Period of Performance
The contract will last for one year with the possibility of four one-year renewals upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed within the City of Hampton limits.
