ITB# 01-FY2025 Housekeeping Supplies

Background
The Meherrin River Regional Jail is seeking bids for a term contract to provide housekeeping supplies on an as-needed basis. The goal of this contract is to ensure the Jail has the necessary cleaning supplies and equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within its facilities.

There is no guarantee of the quantity of purchases under this contract, and it intends to award the entire contract to one vendor based on the lowest bid submitted.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a wide range of housekeeping supplies, including but not limited to:
1. Laundry Detergent (15 Gallon Kegs)
2. Chlorine Bleach (15 Gallon Kegs)
3. Oxygen Safe Bleach (15 Gallon Kegs)
4. Germicidal Disinfectant (One Gallon Containers)
5. Floor Cleaner (One Gallon Containers)
6. Streak Free Glass Cleaner (One Gallon Containers)
7. Heavy Duty Bathroom Cleaner (One Gallon Containers)
8. Various mops, brooms, dusters, and cleaning pads in specified quantities and sizes.
9. Paper products including toilet tissue and paper towels with dispenser installation at no charge.
10. Gloves, hand soap dispensers, and sanitizers.
11. A comprehensive risk management program including OSHA certified training for staff.
12. Ongoing technical support regarding products and procedures as requested by the Jail.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be for three years, with an option to renew for two additional one-year periods upon mutual consent.

Place of Performance
The services and delivery of products will take place at the Meherrin River Regional Jail located at 9000 Boydton Plank Road, Alberta, VA 23821.
