IP 25-001-SG Custodial Laundry Services

Background
The Gloucester County School Division is seeking to establish a contract for custodial laundry services to enhance their operational efficiency. Currently, the School Division manages the entire laundry process in-house, which includes collecting soiled laundry from schools, transporting it to a local laundromat for cleaning and folding, and returning the clean laundry.

The goal of this contract is to outsource these services to a professional company that can provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, expertise, and supervision.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing custodial laundry services which include: cleaning and folding of wet mopheads, dry/dust mopheads, cleaning rags, and cleaning cloths.

The vendor must offer bi-monthly pick-up or delivery services (whichever is greater), ensuring that clean laundry is returned within 48-72 hours after pick-up. Two options for service are available:

- Option 1: Vendor pick-up and delivery of all laundry.
- Option 2: The School Division designates specific drop-off and pick-up days.

Pricing will be based on the weight of cleaned and folded laundry, with monthly invoicing required that details usage by each school location. Optional pricing for vendor-supplied custodial laundry may also be provided.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue for an initial term of one year with potential extensions based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the Gloucester County School Division in Virginia.
