The Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking to purchase one hundred (100) Norix Comfort Shield Custody Mattress, for delivery to Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center (See section, III.F.DELIVERY NOTIFICATION, for delivery information).

Background
The Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking to purchase institutional mattresses to support its mission of providing a safe and secure environment for juveniles in custody.
The goal of this contract is to procure one hundred (100) Norix Comfort Shield Custody Mattresses for delivery to the Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center, ensuring that the facility is equipped with durable and safe bedding suitable for institutional use.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide one hundred (100) Norix Comfort Shield Custody Mattresses, specifically Model Number MCX4-2775-P2DB-61, with dimensions of 25W x 75” L x 4.5” H and weighing 14 lbs.
The mattresses must have the following specifications:
- Black cover color made from polyurethane coated polyester material on both sides.
- Fiber core encased mattress designed for institutional environments, featuring sealed seams with reinforced stitching for enhanced durability against bodily fluids and contraband.
- Three-layer cover material with reinforcing rip-stop scrim for maximum security.
- Compliance with Greenguard Gold environmental standards and bed bug resistance.
- Inverted RF welded sealed seams reinforced with security stitching.
- Fabrication includes an 11oz/sq. ft. densified polyester fiber core encased in a fortified rip-stop, fire-retardant cover.
- Anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties for infection control, along with a breathable vent that repels fluids such as oil, water, blood, and urine.
- Compliance with ASTM F1566 Hexagonal Roller Mattress Durability Test and ASTM D751 Hydrostatic Resistance Test for coated fabrics.
- Flammability compliance with 16 CFR Part 1633, 16 CFR Part 1632, and California Technical Bulletin 129.
- Low chemical emissions certified under UL 2818.
All mattresses must be shipped in poly bags and include manufacturer warranty coverage for seam failure and cover material cracking.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed upon award until all mattresses are delivered as specified, with an expected delivery time of within 60 calendar days after receipt of order.

Place of Performance
Delivery will be made to the Bon Air Juvenile Justice Business Office/Storeroom located at 1900 Chatsworth Avenue, North Chesterfield, VA 23235.
