Installation of Sprayground at Clearbrook Park

Background
The County of Frederick, Virginia is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB No. 2025-03-PR) to install a Sprayground at Clearbrook Park.

The project aims to enhance recreational facilities within the county, which serves a population of approximately 95,000 residents. The Sprayground components will be supplied by Rain-Drop under a separate contract with Parks and Recreation. This initiative aligns with the county's mission to provide quality recreational spaces for its community.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to install the Sprayground as per the specifications outlined in RainDrop proposal #1912112.

Key tasks include:
1. Installation of a concrete pad for the surge tank.
2. Installation of five (5) 12” x 12” bottom outlet drains.
3. Installation of schedule 40 PVC piping to connect the surge tank and suction piping from the surge tank to one Intelliflo pump and one 15HP feature pump (pumps supplied by bidder).
4. Installation of formwork and concrete footings for all water features as specified in RainDrop proposal #1912112.
5. Supply and installation of one (1) Intelliflo recirculation pump, one (1) Clean and Clear 420 cartridge filter, one (1) BECS system 3 control, one (1) Accutab 1030 chlorinator, one (1) Acid Feed Pump, and one (1) Blue White Flowmeter or equivalent.
6. Installation of valves for spray ground equipment and provision for winterization.
7. Startup of systems, training, and initial water balance chemicals.
8. The contractor must also provide payment and performance bonds as required.

Period of Performance
The contract will not be awarded prior to March 15, 2025, allowing time for the arrival of RainDrop equipment.

The work should be substantially completed within 160 days from the contract date.

Place of Performance
The installation will take place at Clearbrook Park located at 130 Poolside Drive, Clear Brook, VA 22624.
