Information Technology Managed Services

Background
The Hampton Roads Transportation Accountability Commission (HRTAC) is soliciting proposals for the management of information technology services aimed at sustaining and enhancing its operations.

The organization currently employs a hybrid in-house and outsourced approach to IT functions, utilizing a part-time IT Manager and an IT Managed Services Provider. The goal is to improve IT effectiveness, minimize downtime, ensure data security, and maximize return on investment in IT resources.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for:
1. Implementing approved recommendations to enhance IT effectiveness.
2. Minimizing downtime and technical support costs.
3. Ensuring data security and compliance with Virginia Records Retention requirements.
4. Maximizing return on investment in IT hardware and software.

The vendor will work within the existing hybrid model to provide comprehensive support for the current IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, business systems, proactive maintenance, support services, and a Cloud-based solution. Specific areas of focus include:
- Managing approximately 10 active laptop workstations with VPN access for remote work.
- Supporting a VOIP telephone system and desktop printers in each office.
- Maintaining one server that acts as a domain controller and file server, along with offsite cloud backup solutions.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year from the date of signing, with the possibility of renewal for up to five successive one-year periods upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Hampton Roads Transportation Accountability Commission's office located at 723 Woodlake Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
