IFB159744 Delivered Aggregate Appomattox Residency

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), part of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is seeking bids for the delivery and stockpiling of various types of aggregate materials within the Appomattox Residency of its Lynchburg District.
The goal of this contract is to ensure a reliable supply of aggregate materials for transportation and infrastructure projects.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing, delivering, and stockpiling various types of aggregate on an as-needed basis.
All delivered materials must conform to VDOT Material Specifications as outlined in Sections 202-209 of the 2020 Road and Bridge Specifications.
Materials must be sourced from a VDOT-approved plant or quarry, and bidders are required to submit the quarry source with their bid.
The unit price must be quoted per 'short ton' (2,000 lbs.), which includes transport and delivery to the specified site.
The contractor must maintain adequate stock levels to ensure prompt delivery service and provide advance notification for deliveries at least 24 hours prior.
Deliveries should be completed within five business days after notification unless otherwise specified.

Period of Performance
The contract will last for one year from the date of award and is non-renewable.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the Appomattox Residency in Virginia.
