IFB159295 Pipe Liner Rt 630 Prince Edward County

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB #159295) for the purpose of soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide pipe rehabilitation services in Prince Edward County.

The goal of this contract is to rehabilitate existing pipes to ensure structural integrity and compliance with VDOT specifications.

Work Details
The contractor shall rehabilitate one (1) existing Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP), measuring thirty-six inches (36”) in diameter and twenty-six feet (26’) in length, using 'Method B', 'Category B' Fold and Form Flexible liners.

The work includes:
- Cleaning and preparing the existing pipe
- Installing and removing cofferdams
- Pump operations for handling water
- Application of the liner
- Inspection and testing of the liner
- Water quality testing.

Additional responsibilities include restoring the flow line of the pipe, filling and stabilizing voids surrounding the pipe with approved materials, clearing debris from the pipe inlet and outlet areas, ensuring all work is performed in dry conditions, submitting an In Stream Plan of Operations to VDOT’s Environmental Department, and managing traffic control during construction. All materials must be from the Approved Materials List as per VDOT standards.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and will conclude on December 20, 2024. This contract is non-renewable.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Route 630 Meherrin Rd, Prince Edward County, VA, located 2.4 miles south of Route 15.
