IFB158765 Hourly Tree Trimming NoVa Dist

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is soliciting bids for hourly unplanned/on-call brush cutting, tree pruning services, tree removal services, and cut stump herbicide application to improve sight distance for CCTV, DMS Signs, and other Operations Assets on interstate, primary and secondary routes within the VDOT Northern Virginia District Operations service area. The contract period is one year from the date of award with four one-year renewal options. The solicitation includes the requirement for the Bidder to submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan (SBSP) with the electronic bid response in eVA.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, traffic control, and any other incidentals necessary to meet the requirements of this specifications stated within. The work shall consist of hourly tree pruning, brush removal, tree removal and/or tree hazard mitigation, cut stump herbicide application, installation of applicable work zones TTCs, and removal and disposal of all generated debris.
The Contractor shall be capable of commencing work within ten calendar days of award of this IFB. All work shall be performed in accordance with various standards and regulations including ANSI A300 Pruning Standard, ANSI Z133.1 Safety Standard, Best Management Practices - Tree Pruning, Virginia Tree Policy and Safety Operation Procedures 16VAC25-73-10, 16VAC25-75-10 and the most current version of the Road and Bridge Specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract period is one year from the date of award with four one-year renewal options.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed within the VDOT Northern Virginia District Operations service area which includes the counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Stafford, Spotsylvania and Caroline.
