IFB SA 2514 General Mechanical Repair, Replacement, and Miscellaneous Services

Background
Prince William Water is a public utility chartered by the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, responsible for providing comprehensive water and sewer services in Prince William County. The agency serves approximately 98,000 customers and operates wastewater treatment facilities for the eastern part of the county.

The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to establish a firm fixed hourly rates requirements contract with one or more qualified sources for general mechanical repair, replacement, and miscellaneous services as needed.

Work Details
The contractor will provide general mechanical repair and replacement services including plumbing, welding, earthwork, concrete, asphalt work, and connections to existing utilities. The contract may involve multiple awards based on the needs of Prince William Water. Specific deliverables and project specifications are detailed in Attachment A of the IFB.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will be one year from the date of award, with options to renew for four additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Prince William County, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of insurance capabilities as outlined in the solicitation. They must also demonstrate compliance with any required licenses or permits applicable to this contract. Bidders are encouraged to include Small (including employment service organizations), Minority-owned, Women-owned, and Service-disabled Veteran-owned Business Enterprises (SWaM) utilization plans.
