IFB SA 2407 Belmont Sewage Pumping Station Replacement

Background
The Prince William County Service Authority is issuing this solicitation for the Belmont Sewage Pumping Station Replacement project, which aims to enhance wastewater management in the region.
The project involves replacing the existing sewage pumping station with a new facility that meets modern standards and operational efficiency.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the construction of the Belmont Sewage Pumping Station Replacement. The work includes:
- Site mobilization, demobilization, and project close-out activities.
- Construction of a new pumping station with a cast-in-place wet well and dry well, including a brick and block building above the dry well.
- Installation of three (3) dry-pit submersible variable speed solids handling pumps in the new dry well.
- Construction of a new influent structure with two (2) hydraulic channel grinders, slide gates, and bypass bar screen.
- Installation of new piping and valves inside the dry well (isolation valves, check valves, air release valves, magnetic flowmeter).
- Provision of a standby diesel generator and an activated carbon odor control system.
- Installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
- Electrical distribution, instrumentation, and control equipment installation.
- Demolition of existing pumping station components and conversion of existing structures to emergency storage.
- Site work including new pavement, regrading, gravity sewer piping and manholes, water main installation, 24” ductile iron force main connection to existing infrastructure, and miscellaneous improvements.

Period of Performance
The estimated Notice to Proceed is expected in December 2024 or January 2025 with a construction duration of approximately 760 days until substantial completion.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Belmont Sewage Pumping Station located at 13760 Dabney Road, Woodbridge, VA 22191.
