IFB No 100315-FY25-31 Town Shop and Fleet Maintenance Building HVAC Replacements

Background
The Town of Leesburg, located 35 miles west of Washington, D.C., is a full-service municipal corporation providing various services to its residents and businesses.

The Town is seeking bids from qualified contractors to replace two existing HVAC systems at the Town Shop and Fleet Maintenance Building, which is used for public works and maintenance of Town-owned vehicles.

Work Details
The awarded contractor will provide construction services that include:
- Demolition of existing tube heating systems in the garage area and wash bay;
- Demolition of two existing AC systems for the shop area, including refrigerant recovery;
- Provision of one dumpster for debris;
- Sealing any ducts or wall penetrations from demolition;
- Installation of two Valent 7 Ton DOAS Gas and DX Cooling units (or equivalent);
- Installation of all necessary accessories and controls for the new AC units;
- Installation of one Two Stage Low Intensity Gas Fired Heating system in the wash bay;
- Provision of all electrical materials, piping materials for new gas mains, venting materials for the gas heater;
- Roofing services for new installations;
- Crane services for equipment installation;
- Rental lifts for use in the shop area;
- Installation of new ducting systems with Single Deflection Drum diffusers;
- Permitting, startup, and testing of both new rooftop units and the heating system.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by December 20, 2024.

The work will be performed at the Town Shop and Fleet Maintenance Building located at 1393 Russell Branch Parkway, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
