IFB No 100314-FY25-10 Ida Lee Park Recreation Center PoolPak No 3 and Roof Top Unit (RTU) HVAC Replacements

Background
The Town of Leesburg is soliciting bids for the replacement of the existing Ida Lee Recreation Center PoolPak Number 3 HVAC unit and the HVAC Roof Top Unit (RTU) in the ladies locker room.

The Ida Lee Park Recreation Center provides various amenities, including pools and locker rooms, and has been using the current PoolPak unit since 2002. The existing unit has become unreliable and requires replacement due to its age and obsolescence. The goal of this contract is to ensure reliable environmental control for the auxiliary pool area.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for demolition and disposal of the existing PoolPak Model Number SWHP140-10E, and installation of a new PoolPak Model Number PPK-100-GB-X-A4FB6103W2E5AF4H (or approved equal). This includes all necessary demolition, plumbing, mechanical, electrical work, grounding, testing, commissioning, curb improvements, and all related incidentals.

Specific tasks include:
- Air and pool water balancing upon completion of installation.
- Installation of roof mounting rails to raise the dry cooler by 12 inches.
- Demolition and replacement of one HVAC Roof Top Unit (RTU) in the ladies locker room with a Valent RTU or equivalent.
- Recovery and recycling of refrigerant from the existing AC system.
- Installation of all necessary accessories, smoke detectors, controls for full functionality.
- Provision of crane services for equipment installation.

Period of Performance
Work is expected to begin in February 2025 or as soon as materials are delivered if they are not available by February 2024.
