IFB 426 - Grounds and Facilities Maintenance - As Needed

Background
The Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority (RWSA) and the Rivanna Solid Waste Authority (RSWA) are regional non-profit public corporations and political subdivisions of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Their mission includes supplying drinking water, treating sewage for the City of Charlottesville, and providing solid waste and recycling services to the City of Charlottesville and County of Albemarle.

The goal of this contract is to secure as-needed grounds and facility maintenance services for all facilities owned or operated by the Authority in specified urban areas.

Work Details
The selected Bidder will provide grounds and facility maintenance services on an as-needed basis for facilities in Crozet, Ivy, North Garden, Scottsville, and Charlottesville Urban areas. Services include:
1. Facility fence clearing (removal of growth around fences).
2. Fence repairs (gates, barbed wire, posts).
3. Access clearing to pipelines, manholes, pump stations, streams, rivers.
4. Brush and tree removal with proper disposal.
5. Storm debris cleanup and disposal.
6. General grounds maintenance (mulching, tree/grass planting, ditch clearing, leaf removal, snow plowing).
7. Small retaining wall construction or repairs.
8. General labor for tasks not listed above.
9. Emergency services as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for a term of 12 months beginning April 1, 2025, and ending March 31, 2026. It may be renewed for two additional 12-month terms with mutual consent.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various facilities owned or operated by the Authority located in Crozet, Ivy, North Garden, Scottsville, and Charlottesville Urban areas.
