IFB 255000019 Replacement of HVAC Equipment at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center

Background
The Town of Christiansburg is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the replacement of HVAC equipment at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. The project aims to enhance the facility's climate control systems, ensuring a comfortable environment for patrons and staff.

The contract will be awarded to a single prime contractor who will be responsible for all aspects of the work as detailed in the bid documents.

Work Details
The project consists of the installation of 4 pool dehumidification air handling units and associated distribution systems. All work must comply with the specifications outlined in Exhibit A of the bid documents.

Bids are to be submitted on a unit price basis, covering all necessary labor, materials, and equipment required for completion.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to be substantially completed within 309 calendar days for Phases 1A & 1B and within 401 calendar days for Phase 2 from the commencement date as defined in the contract.

Final completion and readiness for payment must occur within 462 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The work will take place at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center located at 595 N Franklin St, Christiansburg, VA 24073.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide evidence of their qualifications, including a list of proposed subcontractors and suppliers, proof of authority to do business in Virginia, and compliance with local licensing requirements.

Additionally, bidders must adhere to non-discrimination policies and provide a drug-free workplace certification.
