IFB 255000013 Franklin St/Wades Ln and Franklin St/First St Intersection Improvements

Background
The Town of Christiansburg, Virginia, is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the construction of intersection improvements at Franklin St/Wades Ln and Franklin St/First St. The project aims to enhance traffic flow and safety in the area.

The work will be conducted under the oversight of the Town's Engineering Department, with the goal of improving infrastructure in line with local and state transportation standards.

Work Details
The project consists of the following construction activities:
- Asphalt mill and overlay
- Full depth asphalt paving
- Curb and gutter installation
- Sidewalk and curb ramp construction
- Storm drainage improvements
- Retaining wall construction
- Installation of traffic and pedestrian signals
- Pavement markings and signing
- Permanent stabilization measures
- Associated appurtenances.

Bids will be accepted for a single prime contract on a unit price basis.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the Agreement. The substantial completion date is set for March 5, 2026.
