Background
Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) is a large urban school division in the Norfolk Public School district, serving approximately 30,000 students with a staff of over 4,600 employees across 52 facilities. The mission of NPS is to ensure that all children achieve at high levels. The goal of this contract is to solicit bids for the removal and replacement of roofing at Little Creek Elementary School.

Work Details
The project involves the removal and replacement of low slope roofing with a new 2-Ply Modified Membrane roofing system covering approximately 64,808 square feet at Little Creek Elementary School. The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Removal and replacement of existing low slope roofing down to the steel and wood roof decks.
2. Installation of new insulation, modified membrane roofing, and all required flashing and sheet metal accessories.
3. Associated roof and site drainage as indicated on drawings.
4. Removal and replacement of fascia panels and metal stud supports at the main entrance canopy.

The roofing materials will be provided by Norfolk Public Schools (Tremco), while the contractor must supply all other necessary materials.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of the Purchase Order or Notice to Proceed and will conclude on September 30, 2025. Substantial completion of work is expected by August 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Little Creek Elementary School located at 7900 Tarpon Place & 7901 Nancy Drive, Norfolk, VA 23518.
