IFB 25-26-002 Bridge Washing Services

Background
The City of Danville, Virginia, is seeking bids for bridge washing services as part of its ongoing maintenance and infrastructure improvement efforts. The goal of this contract is to ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of multiple bridge structures throughout the city, which is essential for safety and longevity. The work will be performed in accordance with the specifications set forth by the City and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

Work Details
The contract involves seasonal cleaning and washing of various bridge structures within the City of Danville. The work includes maintenance of traffic during operations and cleaning of both superstructure and substructure elements as per the Engineer's instructions. The work may be scheduled or on an as-needed basis, depending on directives from the Engineer.

Specific structures to be cleaned are listed in an attached bridge cleaning schedule, which may include additional structures added over time. This is a unit-priced renewable contract with options for up to three additional one-year terms.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is one year from the date of contract execution or issuance of a purchase order, with options for three additional one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various bridge locations throughout the City of Danville, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be prequalified with VDOT, although this is not a strict requirement to submit a bid. Bidders are encouraged to provide references demonstrating their capability to perform similar work. A bid bond equal to at least 5% of the total bid is required upon submission, along with performance and payment bonds each amounting to 100% of the total bid upon award. All bidders must also be registered on eVA.
