IFB 242-B3242-014 CNU Trible Library Boiler & Pump Repl.

Background
The solicitation is for the CNU Trible Library Boiler & Pump Replacement project, located on the campus of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. The project involves replacing two existing natural gas fired Hurst fire tube Boilers with new natural gas fired condensing hot water boilers and associated hot water pumps and accessories.

Work Details
The work includes providing construction services for the replacement of boilers and pumps at the Trible Library. The project involves various mechanical and electrical components, including but not limited to, HVAC systems, firestopping, mechanical general provisions, hydronic pumps, electrical power conductors and cables, and other related equipment.

The project also requires compliance with laws and regulations related to labor unions, immigration reform, E-Verify program participation, safety codes, building permits, lead-based paint activities, and land-disturbing activities.

The Contractor is required to comply with Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code and all laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and lawful orders of any public authority bearing on the performance of the Work.

Period of Performance
The deadline for submitting bids is 2:00 P.M. sharp on June 13, 2024. A mandatory pre-bid conference/site visit will be held at Trible Library on May 23, 2024.

The contract shall be awarded on a lump sum basis as per the Total Base Bid Amount including any properly submitted and received bid modifications plus such successive Additive Bid Items as the Owner decides to award.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA.
