IFB #24-2703-5JL - Annual Contract for Digester Tank Clean Out

Background
The County of Henrico, Virginia (the “County”) Department of Public Utilities, Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) is seeking to establish a term contract with a qualified contractor to furnish all tools, labor, materials, equipment, machinery, and supervision necessary for the cleaning of four anaerobic digester tanks. The historical data shows the approximate amount spent on digester tank clean out for the last two fiscal years and that all four digester tanks have been cleaned out previously as part of previous clean out contracts.

Work Details
The successful bidder is required to clean out one anaerobic digester tank per contracted year as specified. The goal is to clean out all four digesters over the course of the contract. The work start date will be scheduled by the WRF and the successful bidder shall have thirty (30) calendar days from date access hatch is removed to date the access hatch is re-installed.
Liquidated damages are stipulated at $300.00 for each calendar day or part thereof that expires after the time thirty (30) calendar days from date access hatch is removed to date the access hatch is re-installed.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at the County of Henrico, Virginia Department of Public Utilities, Water Reclamation Facility (WRF), located at 9101 WRVA Road, Henrico, Virginia 23231.
