IFB 24-24811 Class 2 Solid Waste Collections School Systems Paper Recycling Program

Background
Botetourt County is soliciting sealed bids from Class 2 franchise haulers to provide paper recycling services for the Botetourt County Schools. The goal of this contract is to furnish and service top-load containers for paper recycling and ensure the recycled paper is delivered to a recycling facility.

Work Details
The contractor will furnish and service top-load containers at specified locations, collecting non-confidential and unsecured paper on a bi-monthly schedule. The collection will be done using a frontload-type truck, which must be either dedicated to this service or thoroughly cleaned before use. The contractor must provide the name and contact information of the recycling facility with their bid.

The selected provider will maintain all containers, ensuring they are functional and leak-free throughout the contract duration. The contract includes an initial term of one year (2025) with four annual renewal options. Specific locations include:
- Breckinridge Elementary: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Buchanan Elementary: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Cloverdale Elementary: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Colonial Elementary: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Eagle Rock Elementary: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Central Academy Middle: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Troutville Elementary: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- James River High School: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Lord Botetourt High School: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Greenfield Elementary: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Read Mountain Middle School: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Bus Garage: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.
- Botetourt Technical Center: One 8-cy Top Loader, serviced every other week.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2025, with an initial term of one year and four optional annual renewals.

Services will be performed at various schools within Botetourt County, Virginia.
