IFB 159141 - Incidental Asphalt Repairs, Fairfax

Background
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is soliciting bids for incidental asphalt repairs in Fairfax County.
The goal of this contract is to provide equipment, materials, qualified operators, and traffic control to perform asphalt patching in commuter lots, VDOT lots, and on primary and secondary routes.
This initiative aims to maintain road safety and infrastructure integrity within the region.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary equipment and services for incidental asphalt patching, including:
- Removal of deteriorated pavement
- Milling at a depth of one inch per square yard
- Patching with bituminous concrete
- Surface preparation and restoration
- Placement and compaction of aggregate material
- Traffic control measures as per the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (VWAPM) and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Device Standards (MUTCD).
The work will be performed under VDOT supervision and may require multiple crews to operate simultaneously.
Specific equipment required includes an asphalt paver, milling machine, backhoe or similar equipment for asphalt removal, dump trucks, asphalt distributor, rollers, water trucks, and service trucks.
All materials must comply with VDOT specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective for one year from the date of award with four optional one-year renewal periods.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed in various locations throughout Fairfax County, specifically at commuter lots, VDOT lots, and along primary and secondary routes.
