IFB 1197-25 Pressure Washing Services

Background
The Town of Blacksburg, Virginia is seeking bids for pressure washing services as part of their ongoing maintenance and beautification efforts. The goal of this contract is to ensure that public areas are clean and well-maintained, enhancing the overall appearance of the town. This solicitation is formalized under Invitation for Bid (IFB) 1197-25.

Work Details
The contractor will be required to furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to perform pressure washing services on various public areas in Blacksburg. Specific requirements include:

- Cleaning shall occur during off-peak hours to minimize disruption to local businesses, specifically avoiding breakfast, lunch, and dinner times.
- The work schedule includes services to be performed in April, August, and November.
- The contractor must avoid cleaning during peak hours at busy locations/intersections.
- Access to a water supply on-site will be provided; however, some areas may not be close to a water source.
- Any chemicals used in the cleaning process require pre-approval from Town staff; previously approved chemicals include Sodium Hydroxide.
- Wastewater reclamation methods must comply with town regulations; gutter collection is acceptable.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon receipt of a written order from the Owner and is expected to continue through the specified months of service (April, August, November) as outlined in the scope of work.

The services will be performed at various public locations throughout the Town of Blacksburg, Virginia.
