HVCC-Facility Windows-Labor and Install

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, through the Department of Corrections, is seeking bids for the labor and installation of windows at the Haynesville Correctional Center. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's security and operational efficiency by replacing existing windows with specified products that meet safety and performance standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary for the installation of windows at the Haynesville Correctional Center. The specific items to be provided include:
- 1 unit of 26 1/4” x 46 ¼” 9/16” SAF-GLAS FBH glass
- 1 unit of 28 1/4” x 49 ¾” LAMI BR L3 SAF-GLAS 1 3/16”.
Additionally, the contractor must ensure proper installation and compliance with all relevant specifications attached to this solicitation. Installation must be completed in accordance with safety regulations and standards outlined in the contract documents.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeframe specified by the agency, typically within a few months following the award date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Haynesville Correctional Center located at 421 Barnfield Road, Haynesville, VA 22472.

Bidder Requirements
This solicitation is set aside for small businesses. Bidders must be DSBSD-certified as small businesses or micro businesses. Contractors are required to have appropriate licenses for construction work as per Virginia state law. They must also provide proof of insurance coverage including workers’ compensation, general liability, and automobile liability as specified in the solicitation.
