Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Background
The Augusta Regional Landfill is seeking bids for a household hazardous waste (HHW) collection event scheduled for September 20, 2025. This initiative aims to provide a safe disposal option for residents of Augusta County, Staunton, and Waynesboro, enhancing community health and environmental safety.

The event will take place at the Waynesboro City Shop, located at 900 Essex Ave, Waynesboro, VA 22980.

Work Details
The selected contractor will conduct a one-day HHW collection event from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Responsibilities include:
- Providing a minimum of eight (8) employees to unload and separate all waste;
- Supplying all specialized personnel and equipment necessary for mobilization and processing;
- Recycling or disposing of all materials received;
- Managing any items accepted that are not listed as 'accepted items' on the pricing sheet.

The contractor must ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site requirements while utilizing proper equipment, techniques, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Additionally, the contractor is required to complete a pricing sheet detailing costs for various materials collected during the event.

The contract performance period is set for September 20, 2025, specifically for the duration of the HHW collection event.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide quotes that reflect all personnel and equipment utilized for the event. They are required to submit a completed unit pricing sheet by June 27, 2025. The contract will be awarded to the lowest bidder by July 8, 2025. Bidders must certify their availability to perform on the specified date.
