Background
George Mason University (Mason) is a public institution of higher education located in Virginia, recognized for its innovative and entrepreneurial spirit. The university aims to establish a contract through competitive negotiations with qualified vendors to provide comprehensive Dining Services Management. This initiative aligns with Mason's mission to enhance the student experience and support its diverse community of over 40,000 students across multiple campuses.

Work Details
The selected contractor will manage the Dining Services Program, which includes:

1. Residential Dining Services;
2. Retail Dining Services;
3. Catering/Hospitality Services;
4. Summer Conferences/Camps;
5. Service of meals and snacks to the Child Development Center;
6. Provision of alcohol service as required.

Excluded services are beverage and pre-packaged vending, athletic dining (training table/fueling station), and concessions (excluding catering opportunities at the Arena). The contractor is expected to develop a dining program that aligns with Mason’s strategic direction, focusing on health & wellness, sustainability, and community engagement.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a period of performance lasting five (5) years from the effective date of the Master Services Agreement (MSA), with one (1) successive five-year renewal option available.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within George Mason University's campuses in Fairfax, Arlington, and Prince William counties, as well as other affiliated sites.
