Garage Door Removal and Replacement Tidewater Community College

Background
The Virginia Community College Shared Services Center (SSC) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to furnish, deliver, remove an existing garage door, and install a new garage door for Tidewater Community College.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the college has a functional and reliable garage door system at their facility located at 7000 College Drive, Suffolk, Virginia 23435.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, and incidentals necessary to furnish and install a new garage door.
The specific requirements include:
- Removal of the existing garage door.
- Installation of a new non-insulated rolling galvanized steel garage door with the following specifications:
- Estimated Opening Size: 13' 8" wide x 14' 2" high.
- Clear Opening Size: Approximately 12' 4-5/8" x 12' 5".
- Slat Style: Flat slats made of galvanized steel with a slat gauge of 22.
- Curtain Color: Gray.
- Mounting: Jamb-mounted with steel angle guide construction.
- Spring System: Torsion spring with a life cycle of 15,000 cycles.
- Motor Operator Specifications include a bracket-mounted jackshaft belt drive with a horsepower of 1/2 HP and safety features compliant with UL 325 standards.
- Delivery and installation of the new garage door by August 22, 2025.
- Disposal of all materials including dumpster fees.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this contract is from the date of award until August 22, 2025.

The work will be performed at Tidewater Community College located at 7000 College Drive, Suffolk, Virginia 23435.

Bidder Requirements
This solicitation is set-aside for DSBSD-certified micro businesses or small businesses. Bidders must provide a certificate of insurance as part of their bid submission and must be properly licensed for providing the specified goods/services throughout the term of the contract.
