Fitness Equipment Maintenance and Repair

Background
The Arlington County Department of Parks and Recreation requires quarterly preventative maintenance and service repairs for over 400 fitness machines at eleven recreation centers in Arlington County. The fitness equipment is accessed by Arlington County resident members, non-county participants members, and drop-in participants daily when the recreation centers are open to the public. Proper maintenance and repair are essential for equipment functionality and lifespan.
Facility hours are typically 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with some exceptions and shorter Saturday hours at a few locations. During Arlington County government holidays, the recreation centers are closed.

Work Details
The contractor must provide a quarterly service schedule at eleven locations throughout Arlington County for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting future problems, and making necessary repairs for over 400 machines. The contractor must be able to repair and maintain treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rowers, climb mills, recumbent steppers, arm bikes, sectorized machines, cable units, free weights, and benches.
The contractor must provide an invoice of services that show the cost breakdown for maintenance fees and repair service fees as labor hourly rate cost, parts, and parts shipping cost. The contractor shall communicate routinely with Arlington County staff about equipment condition, scheduled repairs, and issues or concerns relative to the fitness equipment.
