Facilities Condition Assessment Services, RFP 0528-26-FCAS

Background
The City of Falls Church (CFC) and Falls Church City Public Schools (FCCPS) are seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Facilities Condition Assessment Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the facilities are evaluated for their condition and necessary maintenance or improvements are identified. This initiative aligns with the City’s commitment to maintaining safe and functional public spaces.

Work Details
The awarded contractor will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of the facilities, which includes evaluating structural integrity, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and overall safety compliance. The contractor must provide detailed reports outlining the current condition of each facility, including recommendations for repairs or upgrades. Specific tasks include:

1) Visual inspections of all building components;
2) Evaluation of compliance with applicable codes and standards;
3) Identification of immediate repair needs;
4) Long-term maintenance planning;
5) Preparation of a final report summarizing findings and recommendations.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last for an initial term of 12 months, with options for four additional one-year renewals based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations within the City of Falls Church, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must be registered with the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC). They must demonstrate experience in similar assessments and possess any necessary licenses required to perform the work outlined in this RFP. Additionally, Offerors should comply with all local laws regarding business operations in the City.
