Electronics Processing Services

Background
The Prince William County Public Works, Solid Waste Division is seeking proposals to establish a contract for electronics collection and recycling services. The goal of this contract is to provide all necessary labor, equipment, materials, supplies, and resources required to package, load, transport, and recycle electronic waste (e-waste) while maintaining high environmental standards.

The e-waste will be collected from the County's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and Electronics Collection Program at the Prince William County Landfill.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:
1. Providing transportation trailers and all necessary packaging supplies for collected e-waste (including stretch wrap, boxes, pallets).
2. Transporting the e-waste to a processing facility that complies with the Responsible Recycling (R2) Standard for Electronics Recyclers.
3. Processing all e-waste through an R2-certified electronics recycler according to current R2 standards.

The types of e-waste accepted include televisions, computer monitors, computers, tablets, CPUs, printers, telecommunication equipment, and other electronic devices with electrical cords or internal circuits. The contractor must also ensure proper packaging and loading of e-waste into trailers for safe transportation.

Period of Performance
The base contract period is two years from the date of execution with an option for three one-year renewals.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Prince William County Landfill located at 14811 Dumfries Road in Manassas, Virginia.
