Ductile Iron Pipes, Fittings & Valves ITB (2025019-PU-B)

Background
The City of Harrisonburg, Virginia, is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) to procure ductile iron pipes, fittings, and valves for the Harrisonburg Department of Public Utilities. The department is responsible for providing water and sewer services to the city and surrounding areas.

This procurement is part of a larger project to continue construction of a new raw water line in the Route 33 corridor, which is essential for enhancing the city's water infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will provide selected size ductile iron pipes, fittings, and valves as specified in the ITB. Key specifications include:
- Tyton Ductile Iron Pipe: 30" & 24" diameter meeting ASTM A536; pressure class 250 or greater; centrifugally cast; asphaltic outside coating; cement-mortar lining; push-on joints with Tyton gaskets.
- Restrained Joint Ductile Iron Pipe: Similar specifications as Tyton but includes restrained joints using ductile iron locking segments.
- Fittings: 30" & 24" diameter ductile full body design meeting ASTM A536 with mechanical joint design.
- Gate Valves: 24" diameter resilient wedge gate valves rated for 250 PSI cold water working pressure, made from ductile iron and certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN standards.

All materials must be new and fresh stock, conforming to the City’s Public Utilities Product Manual.

Period of Performance
The contract will be executed as a one-time purchase with full delivery required within 75 calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed following bid acceptance.

Place of Performance
The materials will be delivered to the Water Operations Center at 2155 Beery Road, Harrisonburg, Virginia.
