Background
The Virginia Community College System (VCCS) is seeking proposals for personnel radiation dosimeters, dosimetry monitoring services, and an online data repository and reporting system. This initiative supports the Radiography, Radiation Therapy, Dental Hygiene, and Veterinary Technology programs across its 23 colleges. The VCCS serves approximately 225,000 students annually and aims to enhance safety and compliance in radiation exposure monitoring for its educational programs.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) dosimeter badges made from aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) with a mandatory three-layer energy compensating filtration system consisting of aluminum, copper, and tin. Key requirements include:

1. Ability to deliver OSL dosimeter badges in varying quantities based on semester enrollment.
2. Return services for used badges at no additional cost.
3. Delivery to specified college locations as per service agreements.
4. No minimum purchase requirement per year.
5. Pricing breakdown with tiered options for scalability.
6. Environmental durability and heat resistance of the badges.
7. Monthly exchange for fetal monitoring badges; quarterly exchange for others.
8. Online system for real-time monitoring of radiation data collected by the dosimeters.
9. Continuous data retention for cumulative lifetime records of radiation exposure.

Period of Performance
The contract will last for two years with the option for four additional two-year renewals at the discretion of VCCS.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed across various locations within the Virginia Community College System, specifically at its 23 colleges throughout Virginia.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be accredited by the National Voluntary Lab Accreditation Program (NAVLAP). They should also comply with all applicable laws regarding privacy and data security, including FERPA and HIPAA regulations.
