Background
The Virginia Department of Corrections is seeking mobile medical radiography services for male and female offenders across multiple institutions. The contract's initial term is one year, with potential renewals as specified in the RFP. The goal is to provide timely and efficient medical imaging services to support the health needs of incarcerated individuals.

Work Details
The contractor will provide mobile x-ray and MRI services, excluding invasive fluoroscopic x-rays. Services include:

1. On-demand x-ray and MRI services Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with emergency services available after hours and on weekends/holidays.

2. Provision of portable x-ray and MRI equipment that meets Virginia Department of Health standards.

3. Radiologist interpretations within 24 hours, with immediate notification for fractures, and hard copies provided within 7 working days at no cost.

4. Archiving of all data in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

5. Availability for contact 24/7, with next-day service if required.

6. Maintenance of all necessary operating certifications for equipment and personnel.

7. Monthly scheduling provided to the facility’s Health Authority.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is one year, with options for renewal for up to four additional one-year periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various institutions managed by the Virginia Department of Corrections.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Small Business Subcontracting Plan unless they are registered as a DSBSD-certified small business. They must also submit documentation verifying their ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Scope of Services, including qualifications of staff, certifications, and experience in similar services.
