DOC-25-040 - Bland Greenhouse Installation of Cooler and Heater

Background
The Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Corrections, is seeking a qualified contractor to provide labor for the installation of a Carolina Cooler and a Dayton Propane Heater at the Bland Correctional Center. This project aims to enhance the facility's operational capabilities by ensuring proper climate control and heating systems are in place. The contract is set aside for small business award priority.

Work Details
The contractor will provide labor only to install the following equipment provided by the Department of Corrections:

- one (1) 6’x20’ Carolina Cooler
- one (1) 6’x20’ Versavent
- one (1) shutter motor
- four (4) HAF fans
- one (1) 250,000 BTU Dayton propane heater
- one (1) single thermostat – 1UHH2 (for heater)
- two (2) double thermostats – 1UHH3 (for fans and Vent)
- one (1) heater hanger kit custom for Dayton Heater
- one (1) 5” Dura Cap Vent Cap
- one (1) 5”x48” Pipe, gas vent
- one (1) 5” elbow
- one (1) Float valve for Carolina Cooler cool cell
- one (1) Barrel for Carolina cool cell.

The contractor must supply all necessary labor, equipment, and tools for installation without purchasing additional materials that will be charged back to the DOC. The Bland facility maintenance will handle wiring components and installing the propane gas line to the heater.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon contract award and must be completed within a specified timeframe as determined during the contracting process.

Place of Performance
The installation will take place at Bland Correctional Center located at 256 Bland Farm Road, Bland, VA 24315.
